Just because you enjoy a good cigar every once in awhile, does not mean everyone else wants to enjoy that cigar with you. Cigars have a pleasant aroma most of the time. But the smoke is thick and there of course are many people who do not like smoking in general and cigar smoking especially. With anti smoking groups everywhere looking for a reason to pounce on the cigarette or cigar smoker at every chance, being a courteous cigar enthusiast becomes even more important. A very simply tip to remember is that while you are smoking your cigar, how strong or light the smell of the cigar is, can become hard to gauge. You are smoking it, what it smells like to you is completely different than what others smell. Cigar smoke also is very think, unlike other tobacco smoke. It sticks to everything, furniture, clothing, and the walls of a room, so with this in mind make sure you are in well ventilated area or somewhere that cigar smoking is permitted.
A great place to go and enjoy cigars is a cigar bar or cigar shop. Cigar bars are places that cigars can be smoked at and drinks are sold there to go along with the stogies. Cigar bars are great because the only reason anyone is going to be there is to smoke cigars. No one will be offended or put off by your cigar smoking. Also, there are drinks sold there that will compliment the stogie you have chosen. Many sell cigars there and you can also bring your own. Cigar shops are similar in that you can smoke your stogie there that you just purchased. This is more of a regular store with a lounge in the back for smoking cigars. Again, cigar shops work well because you can relax and enjoy your cigar without interruptions by people who do not like it.
There is always the option of going outside. When in restaurants that still allow smoking or other public places where smoking is permitted, it is still best to go outside to smoke your stogie. Cigar smoke is so think that if you are not in a well ventilated area then the smoke even may begin to bother you. Stepping outside to enjoy a good smoke is better anyway, since you will be able to really smell the aroma of the cigar. This is the same for smoking at home. Going outside will suite you much better than smoking indoors. Just because you liked the cigar while you smoked it does not mean you want to smell it all the time. Sitting outside with a good stogie will be much more enjoyable and relaxing.
Always paying attention to where smoking is permitted and following these rules make your cigar smoking very peaceful and relaxing. Being considerate of others should be taken into consideration because cigar smoke is so thick and not everyone will want to enjoy it with you. Besides, why waste a premium stogie because your time smoking it was cut short or interrupted? Pick a place where you can enjoy it and light up!
