Happy Independence Day, Everyone!
This blog post dedicated to my brother Robert Williger, who is active in the United States ARMY. We are both big fans of Schoolhouse Rock and I thought it would be fun to put this video together. We’ve always been a patriotic family and aced our government exams with these songs from decades past still engrained in our minds…
The 4th of July, Independence day means a lot of things to a lot of people. Back in 1776, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and other “seen them on money” people got together and declared our independence from Great Britain.
There are so many liberties we at times take for granted, it’s important to always reflect on what these mean to us and how we earned them.
Many celebrate with barbeques, family time, fireworks, etc. I like to take a moment and reflect on the events that got our country to where we are and the people who devote their lives to ensuring these liberties we should never take for granted.
Thank you to those past and present who serve the United States military and protect our independence!!!
