Weekend Update

Wow. I haven’t been updating my blog. OK, trying to change that. More importantly, trying to change the level of fitness in my life. With non-stop travel, I have allowed martial arts and cycling to fall by the wayside. I am weighing in at an uncomfortable level, and not interested in replacing my wardrobe. I have made a commitment to stick with fitness, whether on the road or at home. This has gotten out of control. I walked a mile on my treadmill this morning, which isn’t a lot but its a start. Right now cooking up a mushroom omelette. I am back to wearing my SportBrain pedometer and will check this regularly. Goal for now will be 10,000 steps/day. With the warm weather I am looking forward to more bike riding on the weekend and some martial arts too.

This sportbrain pedometer isn’t working properly and isn’t showing my steps the past several days. Oh well, would have been nice to see but maybe its a sign that I have to walk more and try again!

This past week was good. Although I have committed to not discussing work on this blog, I guess I can highlight the non-work activities of the week. In NY, I got to enjoy uptown dining at Nobu 57. See http://www.myriadrestaurantgroup.com/nobu57/index.html. After meetings I hopped a flight to Boston, MA for more meetings on Thursday and Friday. Dining Thursday night was at the Capital Grill. The wine and steak were delicious. I did get a chance to catch a Red Sox game, which was a lot of fun.

Anyway, trying to finish up this weekend as have a crazy work week coming up. Today I plan on catching up with work around my home, taking a bike ride on my local trail, and preparing for the coming week.
