No… that actually wasn’t meant to be provocative
this was a question, posed to me by a friend who was inquiring on how I am living with my recent unemployment. I was surprised– and inquired why they assumed such a casual approach to life. “Well if I were unemployed, I would probably be in my PJ’s and catching up with TV”. I got back from a 23 mile bike ride today, unfortunately bleeding and bruised for the cause. Nothing serious, but frustrated as although my bike has been to Mike’s bike shop in Palatine, IL several times, its still unable to properly shift gears, resulting in frequent lockups or the chain falling off when least expected. The deer actually let me get within a few feet of it and we stared at each other for a minute, and I realized it actually had friends, some even smaller hanging out with it. She went back into the woods, and I continued on my ride.

The saying that time and tide wait for none is not without reason. Slipping away faster than you can think, time is one of the most precious commodities we live with. Time wasted, is time lost forever as that precise moment never comes back. Irrespective of our social or economic status, all of us have just 24 hours a day and all efforts must be made to ensure that every moment is spent fruitfully.
